In lieu of our regular newsletter, we’d like to take this opportunity to honor the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice yesterday while serving in Afghanistan.
Ordinarily we would focus on the big energy issues at stake but this is a day for solemn observation. While we are here warm and safe, our men and women in uniform face the cold reality of a dangerous world. Now is an opportunity for us to unite as Americans and pay our respects to the service members who died in the line of duty.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families of the members of our Armed Forces who lost their lives helping Americans trying to escape Afghanistan. These brave and selfless acts are an example to all Americans and to everyone around the globe. May God bless our troops and may God bless the United States of America.
