West Virginia Republicans are holding a closed primary in 2026. That means only registered Republicans can vote in the Republican primary. If you are currently registered as independent or unaffiliated, you must switch your party to Republican before the April 21, 2026 deadline. It only takes a few minutes online.

Why Your Vote Matters

Participating in elections is one of the most important things you can do for our industry and our state. The candidates elected to office will make decisions that affect energy policy, jobs, taxes, infrastructure, and the future of West Virginia’s oil and natural gas industry.

GO-WV is providing the information below to help you and your employees prepare for the upcoming primary election. Please share this page with your networks.

Through GOpac, the Gas & Oil Political Action Committee, GO-WV works to support candidates who will promote, protect, and advance our industry and the communities it supports across West Virginia.
