The Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia, in partnership with the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley, is asking IOGAWV members to carefully read and respond to the following message of need and hope:

As each of us struggle to face the challenges of the COVID-19 virus, the needs of some of our most vulnerable citizens are coming to light in a huge way.   IOGAWV has been solicited to see if some of its members can come to the aid of the many homeless individuals living without shelter, restrooms, shower facilities and hand sanitizer.  As a producer, service company or Allied member providing these type services on a temporary basis to a wide variety of oil and gas operations and well sites, you could be in a position to lend assistance to some of the areas where the virus is beginning to rear its ugly head?

Specifically, the cities of Charleston, Parkersburg and Morgantown are in dire need of portable shower and hand washing/ sanitation stations.  If you are able to consider this request for help, we ask that you coordinate your efforts through Stacy DeCicco, Executive Director of the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley and Statewide Coordinator for this effort.  Stacy is being assisted in the effort by Mike McCown.  Many of you know Mike from his days as an oil and gas producer with a variety of conventional and non-conventional producing companies and as a Board member and past president of both IOGAWV and WVONGA.

Stacy DeCicco can be reached at 304-991-0996 or at sdecicco@uwamov.com.  Mike McCown can be reached on his mobile phone at 304-377-0538 or at mike.mccown@outlook.com .
