Czech Republic’s Independence

IOGAWV Executive Director, Charlie Burd, and wife Leone, were part of a large contingent invited to Washington DC, to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Czech Republic’s independence. This event was held on Monday evening at the Kennedy Center.

Charlie and Leone were guests of US Methanol and Karel Komarek and the Czech based Komarek Family Foundation, parent company of US Methanol. The night was highlighted with a welcome from  Hynek Kmonicek, the Czech Republic Ambassador to the United States and and a rousing performance by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
