The Gas and Oil Association of West Virginia (GO-WV) celebrates Governor Morrisey’s announcement of a $4 billion private investment by Penzance Management to develop West Virginia’s first High Impact Intelligence Center in Berkeley County:
“The High Impact Data Center designation and the policies supporting microgrid development, reliable baseload generation, and streamlined permitting send a clear message: West Virginia is open for business and ready to lead in the digital economy. With abundant, affordable natural gas resources, our state is uniquely positioned to provide the dependable electricity that data and AI facilities demand.
“We commend Governor Morrisey and state leaders for advancing policies that promote energy reliability, encourage responsible development, and accelerate project timelines.
