2026 Fall Prevention and Protection Training Series
The Gas and Oil Association of West Virginia (GO-WV) is pleased to announce an upcoming training seminar that will be conducted in partnership with the Contractors Association of WV, the WV Manufacturers Association, the Joseph Holmes Safety Association and Encova. The training sessions will be presented by WVU Safety & Health Extension.

Fall Prevention and Protection for Oil and Gas Workers
This free OSHA Susan Harwood Training course, offered by WVU Safety and Health Extension, provides oil and gas workers with essential knowledge on fall prevention and protection. Participants will learn to identify common fall hazards, understand OSHA regulations, and apply practical solutions to reduce risks associated with operations, work platforms, aerial lifts, ladders, and walking-working surfaces. The course also includes critical training on workers’ rights and employer responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
The training courses will be held on 3 separate dates. The dates and locations are as follows:
- Friday, October 16th in Mt Morris, PA.
- Friday, November 6th in Bridgeport, WV
- Friday, November 13th in Julian, WV
- Additional information on the exact location will be released soon.
The course will run from 9:00 AM -3:00 PM. The course is free to attend and lunch will be provided.
