Festival Stage unless otherwise noted.

The Spring Mountain Festival Pageant will be April 5th at the Landes Arts Center, Petersburg. The dealine for pageant applications is March 31st, 2014.

FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 2014

8a.m. - Thirteenth Aannual Spring Fling Golf Tournament
Valley View Golf Course 9 Hole Tournament.  Registration begins at 11 a.m. -Lunch at Noon- Tournament starts at 1 p.m.:  2 Per Team, $40.00 Per Person. Call Craig Curtis at 304-257-1155 ext. 239 or Stephanie Shingler at 304-257-1155  ext. 240 for complete details.

10 a.m. - 8 p.m. - Foof Craft and Flea Market Vendors Open

12 Noon -  Registration Begins for the 1st Annual Cornhole Tournament

1 - 6 p.m. - Albert Mach Fine Art Display
Escape to the mountains 2014 “Our Automotive History,” will feature: Hundreds of fine art GiClees, images, displays and events concerning the vehicles that were part of our life from the first ones in the 1800s till our time including historical images and interesting stories from both Grant and Hardy County. Some images as large as 4 feet by 7 feet! located at the Landes Performing Arts Center, 18 Mt. View St., Petersburg. No Admission Fee.

5 p.m.  304 Band to perform  
On the stage in the grandstands     

7 p.m. - Compassion International presents: Morning Rises Tour:  Featuring Aaron Shust, MIKESCHAIR, Johnny Diaz and Lauren Daigle   
Located in The Grandstands. Praise & Worship from some of the top contemporary Christian Artists. Sponsored by: Dorcas Baptist Church and the Grant County Ministerial Association.                                               

SATURDAY, APRIL 26, 2014

8 a.m. -  Fairgrounds open for Vendors; Flea Market opens

8 a.m. - 10K Run/5K Run/Family 5K Walk
Registration is at Petersburg Elementary School beginning at 8:00. Race/walk begins at 8:30 am. For additional information contact Morgan See at the Wellness Center in Moorefield 304-538-7380. .

9 a.m. - Parade Line up
Starts on Water St. at the stop light and continues down Virg
inia Ave. to Pierpont St. and right on Central Ave. to continue to the fairgrounds. Parade will be cancelled if there is heavy rain. The decision will be made by 9 a.m. Check the website for updates.

10 a.m. - Food and Craft Vendors open and Inflatable Rides

OPENING CEREMONIES
Following the parade at the fairgrounds: 
Special thanks to the VFW Post 6454, Civil Air Patrol, the PHS Marching Band and PHS Chorus. Poster Contest winners will be presented on stage. Miss Spring Mountain Festival winners will be introduced.

10 a.m. - Basketball Tournament
3 on 3 Men's or Mixed Teams Basketball Tournament. 2 age groups 14-18 and 19 and up. $20 team registration. Sponsored by the WV Kickers with the proceeds being donated to the Potomac Valley Relay for Life. Cash prize for the winning teams. Located at the Petersburg City Park. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.  - Summer Art Program
Children can stop by and enjoy a simple art activity while they learn at the summer classes being offered by the Summer Art Program.

11 a.m. - Civil War Train Rides
Stories and skits of the Civil War including a living history camp that will be set up in the backyard of the South Side Depot to see how they really lived in times past:  South Side Depot – 126 South Main Street. Tickets are $10.00 each.  For information and advanced tickets call 304-257-9264.

11:45 a.m. -  Maysville Express to perform

 3 p.m. - Dinner Train at South Side Depot
The South Side Depot invites you to enjoy an evening of dinner, stories, reenactments and so much more on the Civil War Dinner Train. A delicious three course meal will be served while period dressed reenactors entertain you with stories of times past. Be prepared to be boarded by Union Soldiers as they take hostages and try to defeat the Confederates!  It’s sure to be a great experience for all! Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, and much more. Located at the Grant County Airport, Johnson Run Road. Open to the public.

9 a.m. - Fairgrounds Open for Vendors

11 a.m. - Festival Vendors Open

12 Noon - Cornhole Tournament (if enough teams interested)

Noon - 2 p.m. - Motorcycle Show
Plaques for the first 25 bikes. For information contact Gary Wolfe at (304)257-2134 or Trent & Cindy Sites at (304)257-2049. Trophies will be awarded at 2:30 from the festival stage. Donation of $5 will be given to Mountain Hospice.

The resurrection of Whitewater weekends April Fools Race.  Enter your “anything that floats” that is not a boat for the race or watch from the banks of the Potomac at the City Park. Sure to be a blast of fun. Entering at or near the Petersburg City Park.
